Which is what they did with me, no shuttle to the airport until I pay for what they said was my responsibility regarding the vehicle damage. They just send them back out on the road after they collect for the repairs. It was easy to tell that this company does not make repairs these vehicles once they get them back. I estimate that there were over 400 chips, scrapes and scratches in the vehicles paint and windshield when I picked it up. The worst part of the experience was when I return the car the staff did not want to hear anything about any of the problems that I had with the vehicle they just wanted to point out where they thought were blemishes on the car that weren’t there when I picked it up. This was the most beat up rental I’d ever seen, let only used. Although it ran and got us around the country we had numerous problems with it duthe supplier the trip, including the cruise control would continually stop working, one of the windows would not roll up properly, and the car smelled of burnt rubber when we went up hills. The vehicle I received was not the unit that I thought I had rented, it was a much older one with over 222,000 km on it. I have never experienced anything like this and would never recommend using this company again. I have traveled to many places outside of the US and rented cars on numerous occasions. This was easily the worst experience I’ve ever had. Like I had booked through Northbound and ended up with this company." Oh and no one tells you they take a 2500€ deposit on your credit card.Ĭouldn´t recommend this company to anyone!īeware also that some companies act as umbrellas and you could end up with them even if it seemed like you booked through someone else. They also accused us of going on F-roads which was not the case, and impossible with a Hyundai i10.Īnother family at dropoff seemed to have similair problems and were likewise just as frustrated as us.Īlso got a clearly older model of the car then we had booked. Really felt like a scam in so many ways and it was sad our otherwise great trip ended on this bad note!Īlso the extra insurance I had purchased had such a high selfrisk amount that this money came out of our own pockets. They said there was new damages to the car, charged 80000ISK for repair cost that, considethe supplier previous damages, never will be repaired. Really many damages externally to the car, we tried to get everything on pictures before we drove off which turned out to be an impossible task. Worst carhithe supplier experience I've ever had. "Beware of this company, couldn't recommend it to anyone. I am really unhappy with the whole rental experience and to show this I can copy here the review I wrote on google: Continued abuse of our services will cause your IP address to be blocked indefinitely. We got the supplier, or Northern Lights as they also are called, as our car providers.
